On Thursday and Friday (July 27th-28th), Harris County ESD 48 held Water Rescue Swim Tests at Morton Ranch High School as the first step in beginning to certify our crews in the operation of our brand new Water Rescue boats (courtesy of Firehouse Public Safety Foundation). Once our crews demonstrated their proficiency in water by completing their various swim tests, our Training Division Chief Glen Trahan demonstrated the proper steps to take if a firefighter finds themselves in a body of water in structural firefighting gear.
