Tuesday, October 6th was a great night for the Katy Community. Families all across Katy left their homes to and joined their neighbors in an event designed to build community and foster new friendships. National Night Out was a big success again this year judging by the number of people who attended and the comments I heard as I attended as many as I could. It was also a success among our own personnel with our VDS crews being joined by a number of our volunteer Fire Fighters and Rehab members who came out on their own time to make this a great night for everyone to enjoy.
We couldn’t have done it without the many HOA directors, management companies and neighborhood leaders who invested so much in putting the activities together. Without them creating such amazing environments we wouldn’t have the audience to share our fire safety and our community education programs with. Fire is everyone’s fight and we are proud to have such great partners in our community neighborhoods.
Join us next year – it is always the first Tuesday evening in October.
